Amillie caters to the needs of the dog in front of her, dogs learn best by simply going at their pace and not expecting too much of them too soon. Simple, short and sweet is key!
Levels of being BASIC!
Level 1 BASIC : The first step for any dog to learn something new is to teach the foundation in their home before expecting them to respond in more stimulated and distractive environments. Training, engagement, crate training, beginners leash work , sit, down, stay, leave it all without distractions are the first goals. The biggest focus here is teaching you how to make your dog engage with you over all else!
Level 2 LITERALLY : Beginning to venture out to more distractive areas such as parks , (NOT DOG PARKS), busier places in your neighborhood etc. Field trips start in this phase , still short and sweet sessions!
Level 3 I CAN’T EVEN! : Once the dog or puppy has a strong foundation to focus on you in public and at home, we up everything ! This means we begin adding more duration to the commands they know well. We begin adding more distractions and teaching them to respond to you even from a distance!

If you escalate too quickly , you set your dog up to fail…. We want to set them up for success! That means and is done by creating situations and environments we know the dogs can handle and respond to.
